Action > CrackLc

The action performs a crack width check for concrete structures in accordance with the selected design code. If the proof check for the selected design code is not available,  it will be performed in accordance with Eurocode EN 1992.

Prerequisites:

  1. A reasonable maximum reinforcement diameter must be defined in the attribute set
  2. The reference sets of reinforcement must be of type Cracking or Longitudinal
SettingDescription
Action Code of the selected Action. It is possible to switch to another action without leaving and re-entering the input function.
Action will be skipped (Option) The action will be skipped in the calculation process if the option is selected.
Input-1 > Load case name Name of the load case, for which the check will be done
Input-2 > Crack width Maximum allowable crack width (reasonable value must be specified!)
Input-2 > (Initial strain loadcase) Optional entry. Name of the load case, which is used to calculate the initial strain of the tendons. (Translation in stress-strain curve for ultimate load analysis)
Note: If a * is entered the program takes the initial tendon strains from the superposition 1; if empty (default), from the summation loadcase specified in the recalc pad.
Input-2 > (Diagram linear) Option for considering a linear stress-strain diagram for the calculation of the stresses in reinforcement steel.
Input-2 > (Crack Min Reinf) Option NoMin for switching off the calculation of a load-independent minimum cracking reinforcement in addition to the reinforcement required for the design load case.
Output-2 > List File Name of list file, where the results of crack width check will be written. Default (*): The name of the list file is automatically created:  CracLcName.lst with LcName being the name of the design load case. If there is no input, no list file will be created.
